These are the 2 apartment complexes we have been offered to live in until our container arrives from the UK. Anyone know them or know anything good or bad about them. And obviously any info on snakes in the area very welcome :-) (jk about snakes) It's hard to know which to choose from Internet pics.

I'd go for North City 6. It's close to a good many amenities over by North Hills and you would probably be able to find stuff to do easier while staying there. Good, central location.

I had friends that stayed at Meridian for a time....it is very nice...upscale and quiet...and it's close enough to plenty of restaurants, shopping and major highways to get elsewhere. It's rather suburban in setting. I believe you are planning to send your children to Ravenscroft? It won't be hard to get them there at all from here....though the schools are fine in the area.

I am not familiar with North City 6 ...but it's location is slightly more centrally located.

North City 6! They are brand-spanking new, are upscale, and right smack-dab in the middle of everything - close to the North Hills restaurants, shopping and entertainment. And it's MUCH closer to Ravenscroft - it's probably five minutes up the street.

It looks like a police officer was shot at the Meridian at Wakefield apartment complex last night. I hope he is ok.

Yeah. I think OP will be even happier she chose North City 6.

Hope the officer is okay. Didn't sound like his injury was critical from the report I read earlier.

I don't know much about the story, but the complex itself is in a very nice area, nestled in Wakefield. I wouldn't think this one event says much about the complex.

I agree with the North City 6 choice but just to throw another option in there you can also look at Park and Market which is right above the Harris Teeter grocery store and closer to the part of North Hills where you can do most of your shopping and dining. Its nice to not have to get in the car in order to enjoy yourself!

:shoc ked:: shocked::ee k:

Thanks for that little snippet of local new information.

I let the relocation agent know that I definitely don't want to be at that apartment complex although I presume the shooter is now in jail for shooting a police officer so it's probably safer than the other one lol

We have a lot to get used to !
