We currently have Time Warner and are paying roughly $200/month for HD cable with DVR, Internet turbo and home phone. We are looking to switch to Uverse and wanted to get some opinions from anyone that is currently using Uverse.
I'd also be interested. We have the above minus the DVR and are at about 170/month.
The internet has been going out for long periods of time the past couple of days. Not worth the price!
We have Uverse. We have the occasional outage which is annoying but usually re-boots OK. I think we pay around $125/month. We also got a $200 rebate when we signed up. We'll see if they raise our rates next year when the contract is up.
I was just bragging about my switch to Att yesterday on Facebook. I only had internet w twc and would've had to pay 46$ to renew, and pay a $20 fee to transfer to our new house. I was thrilled to have uverse availability at the new address. I got u-family and 6mbps internet for $50 plus tax. Throughout our first year with them, we received about $175 in reward cards (this includes the initial reward card). They did increase my rate towards the end of my term, but credited me for the remaining month of the term. We just renewed and will pay $54 to keep the same service and we get a $100 reward card for our bundle and a $20 reward for our anniversary w the company! I love them.
I've had U-verse for 1.5 years now - overall I'm very happy with it. Absolutely love the wireless receiver (can play programs recorded on the main DVR). I can only get 18MBps down at my house though, so speeds won't be comparable to TWC. I don't need higher speeds, I just know that I was getting ~30MBps with TWC before I switched.
ATT, like all cable companies, occasionally does raise their rates. I get the 45MBps down internet at my place and it is consistently that fast.
