What are the trees that have the huge spreading canopy - a horizontal branching structure and pinkish clusters of flowers? They have been in bloom a couple of weeks and I see them in people's yards providing a huge amount of shade and also see them along 440 and along the sides of the roads. The leaf looks very fine but I haven't seen it really up close so not sure. Can anyone identify for me? And is it a good tree to plant or a nuisance tree???

Oh I know what you're talking about. I forget the name of them but they're definitely an invasive species. They remind me of Truffula trees lol.

Ahhhh! I know those trees. They wind up with ugly, brown pods on them later. That rattle.

Hmmm. Let me think. The name escapes me.

It's a good way to describe them.
