That place is still open? I thought it closed down before because it sprang a leak in the basement and the whole shop flooded?

Still there as far as I know. I THINK the skate park might have closed down, but the shop is still there?

Looks like they have active posts on their website regarding July 4th hours, http://www.verticalurge.com/

Vertical Urge should likely have rashguards, but you'll pay $65 or more for one there! A basic t-shirt is $30 there. I like the store, but their prices are really out of whack.

Due to retailers' frustrating tendencies to precede the seasons by several months, they are probably either all sold out everywhere or on the clearance racks by now. If you don't have your swimwear by March or possibly the beginning of April, your selection can be very limited. Most retailers are probably beginning to roll out their "back to school" displays by now, and Christmas displays will follow in about two months.

Woe to the person who decides to go to the beach on a whim in the latter half of the summer but needs a new swimsuit.

Got one today at REI. Thanks! I was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but that's my own fault for waiting 'till the last minute.

If she's headed to the beach, she can get one at one of the many beach shops, like Wings.

No. It's for a week-long sleep away camp. She will be water skiing and I thought the rash guard would be comfortable under the life jacket and offer more protection from the sun. We'll use the same one at the beach in August.
