We are relocating and looking at moving into the Cary area. I have a son that will be 5 in a couple weeks and a daughter that will be 2 in a few weeks. I'm looking for a preschool for the 2 of them. I was hoping to find a kindergarden prep program for my son that is for kids that aren't quite ready for kindergarden. Also looking for a non-religous school. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Are you looking for half day or full day?

Looking for half day preschool. I'm a stay at home mom so I don't need any daycare component.

Triangle Montessori Academy might be a good fit for your family.

You will find more programs for your 5 year old then your 2 year old. There are not many non-religious pre-schools offering half day to 2 year olds. You can look at the Discovery Center they have AM/PM sessions. Imagine That in Apex offers half day to ages 2 to 5, it runs 9:15 to 1:15.

Peace Presbyterian has programs for 2 and 5 years, the 5 is a transition kindergarten program. It is a religious preschool but not over the top. We were very happy there and we are not practicing any religion. They have wonderful teachers and loads of outdoor time.

Try Little Treasures on Piney Plains. They do daycare and preschool.
