I will be in the area to determine if I like it enough to move. I dont have a job currently lined up. I have 12 years of customer service experience. I am intersted in retail and sales. I like talking to people and I dont want a good income. Any suggestions. I was considering selling wireless phones but am just not sure.

Thanks
Nikkijoe

If you work in retail or sales there is a LOT to choose from. Especially in Cary, many of the stores have "now hiring" signs up most of the time. Because rent is higher there, it's a smaller pool of applicants. There's also a lot of new retail opening up, like Walgreens, Harris Teeter, a new Kohl's just opened in Apex, a new WalMart just opened in Holly Springs/Fuquay Varina.... you'll have a lot of choices!

There are many places you could get a job selling cell phones in both Raleigh and Cary. I see stand alone Verizon, Sprint/Nextel, and Alltel retail stores all over the triangle in strip malls and traditional shopping malls. I have no idea how much money the people who work there make, but I'm sure if you are personable and reliable you should be able to get a job at one of those places. I think everybody and there dog has a cell phone here. I was in the Verizon Wireless store by North Hills a Few Months ago and there must have been 8 employees working the floor, selling phones, ordering phones, doing customer service ect... There were so many people in the store I had to "sign in" at a computer at the entrance and then wait in line for 10 minutes before I got to speak with a sales rep. (I'm not complaining....just pointing out how busy it is).

Anyway....If cells phones are your thing....you should have no problem finding a job selling them here in The Triangle.

Good Luck!
