I realize I'm treading into some passionate waters here by bringing up BBQ. I've recently moved into Apex and I shamefully haven't had any BBQ yet. My parents are coming down this weekend and my dad is a big BBQ fan. I've been to Allen and Sons near Chapel Hill and it was amazing, but it's farther than we're looking to go this weekend. I've heard mention that Danny's is quite good.

Any suggestions on where we should go?
Darn. Allen and Sons is the best around here, in my opinion.
I just recently took to cooking my own with a lean pork loin in the crock pot, and I have to tell you that it is DELICIOUS. And not fatty!

I do this a lot too. And I use a NC made sauce. Turns out great! Sometimes I do it on low on the grill too.
I had City BBQ, it's decent but I did not like Danny's at all.
We made our pork in the crockpot. Couldn't be easier. I buy boneless pork loin at Kroger when it's on sale for $1.99. It is so tender - even after being frozen.

Why not take your dad to enjoy the best Eastern NC barbecue? Easy drive to Parker's Barbecue in Wilson. A Eastern NC institution and worth the drive for Eastern NC barbecue.
I go to Backyard BBQ Pit on 55 pretty often. I agree with the comment that Danny's tends to be too dry.
Back yard is the place.
