Okay, so when needing to set up new water and electric but their businesses are closed for the day, and 0 is disabled, and you need it for the next weekend but when you try to reach them Monday they may say it is too soon, because you "waited" too long to call only to know that you did not know you were moving until an hour before calling those companies? And you just have to have things that day else you got no water or power in either place old or new?

Thoughts?

Ive never had a utility company say it's too soon to set up your account. Just call them on Monday and tell them when the billing is to begin in your name

Rarely do they completly shut down water and electricity service. You just need to get it put under your name. Are you positive there is no service?

Me neither. I called town of Cary a week or so before we closed. No big deal. I did gas and electric onlinear also before we closed.

Perhaps the glass of wine with dinner went to my head, but I cannot decipher this post.

Come again, OP?

Did you call to ask for service to be switched to your name in the future?
