This is not true. They do sand and there are some plows. The snow is certainly not like up North, but we had a "bad winter" this past year, with several snow accumulations of 1-3 inches as well as a much larger one. My kids had 6 snow days last year.

I have 3 that I will visit.

Inman park. Marquis on Edward Mill. And one that is a little more north and farther, Northridge Crossing. This is just a first visit. I have around a year to decide to move.

Wondering if I should make appointments at these places or just walk in.

We have plows and salt...and with enough notice they also brine the roads which really helps. Storms are different obviously...much more ice. ...but it's just wrong to say they aren't felt with

I would second looking around Lake Lynn. It is a very nice area with a large number of apartment complexes (6+) that either back up or are within a very short walk of Lake Lynn. The "lake" has a walking path around it, there is a nice city park with baseball fields, etc. adjacent, you are near a public library. There is good shopping at Crabtree Valley Mall, or for strip malls Stonehenge (Creedmoor Rd.) and Leesville Rd. at I-540. There is a Whole Foods that is reasonably close as well. You will be between I-440 and I-540 and can get to US-70 at either highway in under 10 minutes.
