We had an appetizer there and just sat outside uptop on the roof and enjoyed each others company. It was nice to just have a conversation with him and not have a four yr old interrupting. I feel bad because our food was not great but hey, it was a night out which doesnt happen very often. I have to say this area, apart from Brier Creek doesnt have much to do at night.
North Raleigh has plenty to do at night, you are just looking in the wrong places if you don't think there is much to do.

Flying Burrito is meh. Try Gonza or Dos Taquitos for a fun atmosphere and delicious food. There is actually plenty to do in these parts. I also second the Yelp suggestion. Great way to see what's new and what's good, as well as find out what events are happening on any particular evening.

We checked with both of those places but they had no openings the night we had a sitter. I think we will try to take our family when they are here next month to Gonzo.

Ah, gotcha. We went on a Tuesday night with our young son to Gonza and we had a great time. I loved that they had some ride-on toys and a big bubble tub for the kids to play with outside!

Oh cool! Thanks might take my son then. Did you go to one in a Raleigh or Wake a Forest?

Taberna and Mateo are both excellent and oddly located almost next to each other. We prefer the food at Mateo slightly but it's very loud. Taberna is much better for conversing. Try both!
