I have a cell phone that I have been using for the last 8 years since I got it in 2006. It is an old LG VX 5300 flip phone. I dropped it yesterday and it broke in half and the flex-cable/ribbon was cut leaving me with two pieces and the screen separated from the rest of it.

The phone is not of any value, but I need to get the information off of it which includes 8 years worth of photos, passwords, contact info and messages that I have kept all this time because they are important. To make matters worse, when I took the phone apart today to remove the cable I broke about 4 other things and also found that the cable won't even come out. So now I am totally panicking since I am both without a phone and more importantly - I don't want to lose all my precious information.

Surely there is a way to get that data off of there? Is there a place around here that someone knows that does this sort of thing?

Thanks.

When you get a new phone they should be able to import the data from the old one. I jhad one where the ribbon broke and it was no problem to move my stuff. They may charge you if it's a lot of data though.

The 5300 only has 28MB of memory and no SD slot.
