I stopped there Sunday 12/28 after a trip to Chipotle. I picked up 6 donuts. It was fast, but ultimately the donuts where under cooked. Odd since they have a doughnut making ROBOT. I got two chocolate, two glazed with coconut and two orange glazed. Since they were a bit raw they get the thumbs down for now.
Also they only make one kinda of donuts, the plain vanilla, so only the toppings are interchangeable.
I went yesterday on a mission for apple fritters, as one of the early posters mentioned Duck Donuts having those. Alas, they don't have apple fritters and the casher said they never do. I picked up a box and chose toppings almost exactly like Zinner's. They are tasty.
Had Duck donuts in Duck for dessert once and they were way too sweet for me (and I am certainly not afraid of sweet) but thanks lots for mentioning Bakers Dozen. Tried it today when my son was at hockey and they were very yummy!
Now Rise is coming to Cary- where will they put it?
Also in Durham, Rise — the shop that put the maple-bacon monkey on many of our backs in the first place — is about to spread some more doughnut love. Owner Tom Ferguson says he’ll announce the location of a second shop in the Cary/Morrisville area in a few days, just as soon as the lease is signed. In the meantime, you can get your fix at the original Southpoint location (8200-1003 Renaissance Pkwy.; 919-248-2992; risebiscuitsdonuts.com), daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Went with the husband and kids yesterday and thought the donuts were delicious
Stopped by last Saturday. The kid liked the machine and his donut with sprinkles. I felt they almost tasted more like funnel cake than donuts. Just not my cup of tea, I guess. And the chocolate glazed was way too sweet. Don't think we'll be coming back soon.
Love Duck donuts!!! Oh BTW... they have orange flavored frosting and its not on the order card when you go to fill it out. Or at least it wasn't the other day.
