Just wanted to let you guys know that out of state drivers moving to NC will no longer need to take the written test, just vision and road sign tests will do!!
Well, I need to tell you all that I was at DMV the other day and a woman who moved here from the NE (I will not say which state in case she's posting on C-D now) was next to us and she missed so many road signs that she nearly wasn't given a license.
This after sitting for 2 hours with a road sign list in her hand that she could have been studying if she had a hard time with road signs.
Her biggest worry was how to score a personalized plate with the name of her hometown team on it.
She vocalized this very thing several times while we were there.
I am not kidding. It was alarming.
Sooo... maybe we need to bring that test back.
In any event, I know what sort of vehicle she drives, so I plan to avoid the one with some version of her team's name on it if I see it around town.

Hahahaha... you all crack me up. She was indeed from the NE.
However, she was not from NY or NJ.
