I don't think anyone has mentioned it, but Wake County has a very nice shooting range:

Wake County Firearms Education and Training Center

You have to take a 2 hour safety course to get a range card (cost is $15 for Wake County residents) and then you can shoot for $10/hour. They also offer NRA classes at very reasonable prices.

Well, some burglars don't like to be surprised by people coming home or not knowing where they are when they break in . At least when you break into a persons home in the early hours, the likelihood is that they will be in bed, that what you want to steal will be around and available, and by the time they have realized what has going on , you will be running out the door
