Are there any additional tree removal companies with the proper insurance who will remove 30 or so trees, grind the stumps and remove about 5 downed trees for a reasonable price? Only one tree is what you would call hefty. I am having trouble getting calls back from companies found in this forum which I already contacted. I could use a few more names in case I never hear back. So far only one bid and it was high, high, high. The home is in Cary/Apex. I can say at least one guy did not want me to have this many removed and maybe that is the problem.

Why 30 trees at one time? Do you live on a large lot?

We paid $5k to have 30 trees removed and stumps ground. That was the lowest bud through JD Tree Pros. We used Traynor Tree Service to have one dead tree removed last spring and proportionally speaking it cost way more than having 30 taken out. No one wants to do one tree.

I doubt you are going find someone insured who is cheap. Doing things the right way causes a lot of overhead and that cost is going to be passed on. If the proprietor can't make a profit he doesn't stay in business.

Prices vary dramatically so get several bids and yes try to do it all at once because it is much cheaper then having them come back for just one tree.

Someone I know used arborex - not sure about insurance since I did not employ them. They did a nice job and cleaned up well.

No, the lot is not even half an acre. There are just too many trees and too many close to the house. I keep losing trees and maybe it is because they are overcrowded. I am not removing all of them.

I have used Jackson's Tree Service and was very satisfied. and Lineberger's Tree Service may be another option to call if not already.
