Have a question about a place to leave two dogs while going away for a week...

Anyone heard of Dogtopia?

Looking for recommendations please...

Thanks.

We have been happy with Suite Paws. Check out the photos on their Facebook page- it looks like the dogs have a blast.

My co-worker uses Suite Paws and really likes it - apparently so does her dog!

I have also heard good things about Dog Diggety.

We have used Dogtopia in Raleigh several times. It seems to be quite well run, and the staff genuinely cares about the animals. Dogs get to socialize all day, so they don't feel like you've sent them to the pound.
For us, the only downsides are the location (opposite side of Raleigh from RDU) and the price.

We recently used Wag N Woof Inn. She watched our two dogs in her home.
They seemed to enjoy their stay.

I've used Suite Paws before and my lab seemed to enjoy himself. The only thing I didn't like about them was their 'dog humping' policy. They told me that if they have to stop my dog from humping 3 times than he isn't allowed to be in daycare anymore. He has two strikes against him so we haven't been back.

I talked with Dog Diggity about it and they don't have the same policy, so we go there now. I can't stop my dog from humping - he's just being a dog. Dog Diggity is also friendlier and cheaper than Suite Paws even though its further away from my house.

That's a plus for Suite Paws then - my dog would not appreciate a dog humping her and would respond as such. You can and should train your dog to stop humping - the ASPCA has tips and you can call a behaviorist.
