Hi. Has anyone had success with temp agencies. I am supposed to have a meeting at Office team and wondered what your experiences were? I've never used a temp agency before so I'm a little concerned about the process

I used Office Team in 2000, so I don't know what they're like now. The thing I liked best was direct deposit of paychecks. I think back then it was the only one that did it. I was entering the workforce after being a SAHM. The interview included typing test and Word/Excel proficiency. I had taken online tutorials to learn Word/Excel and WordPerfect. They found me a position right away, but after that was up (6 weeks) I went with a job from a different temp agency. I think I was registered with 5-6 of them. For me, a temp agency was a good way to get my foot in the door. My resume was pretty bare, but I was an older worker (mid 30s) who brought maturity and life experience. The temp agencies were able to stress that to the companies. The only job that wouldn't make an exception was SAS.

My husband got his current tech job through Manpower. (Temp-to-hire)
