Brass fixtures (faucets, etc) have not been popular in new construction for a number of years. I heard recently that brass is starting to become popular again. I would appreciate comments from those in construction, real estate, building supply, etc. If you were thinking of selling a home and have brass fixtures in bathrooms should we consider replacing the brass?

I think it's brushed brass that is starting to show up again. Not glossy brass.

Not in my house!

We just finished getting rid of all the brass light fixtures installed by the builder in our house. I think bronze is what is popular as opposed to brass.

It also has to do with quality. High quality of any metal finish may not be "in style" but will almost alway be acceptable. Cheaply finished stamped junk will fall out of fashion as the wind blows.

I vote for NO. I replaced most of the brass with brushed nickel in my house.

Brass=tacky. We spent hundreds in our home to eradicate it.
