Five of my family members will be in the Raleigh-Durham area from November 23rd (Thanksgiving Day) until Monday, the 27th.

I really need help with a place to stay!!

I read here about The Carolina Inn but didn't act fast enough so now they do not have enough room for us. I also contacted the Morning Glory Inn in Clayton but "there's no room at the Inn!"

It doesn't matter what Town we stay in as long as the drive is reasonable to Cary / Raleigh.

If it's a chain, I prefer NEW - not run down and of course in a SAFE area (these are the things that searching online aren't mentioned).

Thank You for any help anyone can give me!! I really appreciate your time!!

We have stayed at the north raleigh hilton and it is nice. I am sure there are some nice hotels in cary as well, I just never needed to stay in one! There is a nice embassy suites on harrison ave as well, and that may be more convenient because it is right off of 40 with access to cary and raleigh.

At this point you'd probably just go with whatever you can find that's not booked yet.

But to answer the question, I like to point people to some really nice places downtown: The Sheraton, The Clarion, The Holiday Inn Brownstone, and The Velvet Cloak. Nice places and are in interesting areas with things to do.

We stayed at the Residence Inn off of Tryon Road @ Regency Pkwy and it was fine. Also have stayed at the Marriott @ Crabtree.

We stayed at the Comfort Suites in Cary when we first moved here which we found to be pretty decent. Nice to have a fridge and a microwave. We also stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Cary which was really just a regular hotel room (but they had a great hot breakfast in the morning), and the Holiday Inn Express in Apex. All have good, quick access to US1. All were clean and quiet. Would recommend them to anyone although I hear the Courtyard is undergoing some re-roofing and parking lot sealing. I imagine that should be resolved by Thanksgiving.
