I live in one of the subdivisions within Wakefield Plantation (New Falls of Neuse & Capital Blvd - 27614). When checking availability online at AT&T, it can't find my address but I do see AT&T U-Verse trucks in all of the surrounding communities. Is this just a matter of AT&T not available yet or is this something to do with some restrictions within Wakefield?
In Wakefiled, I seem to remember they had CenturyLink as their phone provider maybe?
Also, ATT has put pretty much all expansions of Uverse on hold nationwide for several years. They keep making noises like they will bring fast internet here, but so far have never done it. Maybe with Google coming here (hopefully) they will finally follow through.

This has nothing to do with Wakefield, but in my neighborhood in Chapel Hill, some parts of the neighborhood have Uverse and other parts do not, and I'd say it's been that way for at least a year.
I actually work for AT&T (nothing to do with cellular or u-verse) and can get a big discount on u-verse services so I am a little frustrated they are not servicing my neighborhood.

Yeah... I'm surprised that your realtor didn't tell you that before you bought out there... or were you already living there when you got the job with AT&T?
