Hi Everyone!

I am still checking out different communities in Cary. We initially wanted new construction but was a little disappointed in the small lot size and lack of backyard privacy in new construction so we switched gears to look at older neighborhoods. I still haven't ruled out new so we drove thru Weldon Ridge and it looked very nice. I don't have much info on it yet and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it? Is it too far away from things? How are the builders? Etc....

Thanks in advance for any feedback!
Taryn

Default Orleans Homebuilders

When searching for a home in Cary, Weldon Ridge was one of our top contenders. Similarly to you, my wife and I enjoyed the larger lots and the square footage. With children, having enough space, both inside and out, was extremely important to us.

Orleans Homebuilders is the builder for Weldon Ridge. They've been recognized nationally for their homes. Over the months, the home my wife and I were looking at in Weldon Ridge has reduced drastically. Our realtor informed us that towards the later part of the year, new home communities tend to reduce their prices quite a bit in order to fulfill a certain quota. In fact, when it came to purchasing our new home, our realtor was able to negotiate the price even further. Needless to say, I was ecstatic!

In regards to location, Weldon Ridge is about ten minutes from the heart of Cary. There are plenty of grocery stores and shops currently built and more going up nearby. What's nice, too, is that Cary Park is less than a mile away from Weldon Ridge. Cary Park has a trail system/greenway that appeals to active individuals.

From what I've heard - Orleans is a reputable builder and the quality of work is good (after talking to some residents). We were also looking at this neighbourhood and are thinking seriously about the homes here. Hope this helps and do let us know how it works out for you.

Thanks,
Phani

One thing I would recommend is to pay attention to exterior material. Orleans homes in Cary Park have hardiplank construction on all sides, while I believe Weldon Ridge has vinyl sidings.
