Hi! I'm not a big coffee drinker so I need advice/recommendations! I want to buy a friend coffee beans.. does anyone have a favorite in the area? He likes dark roast!
Crema Coffee Roasters in Cary. In the shopping center at the corner of High House and Davis, diagonally across from the new Publix and behind the tire shop.
My husband roasts his own, but speaks highly of Counter Culture's roast. They're a Durham based roaster, but you can buy their coffee in a lot of local places. The only one that comes to mind right now is Jubala in Lafayette Village, but that is north Raleigh, so may be too far for you. Gather in downtown Cary may have something, too.
Have you checked Whole Foods? They may have some local stuff, or just your good local coffee house.
^^ I agree with the Whole Foods recommendation if you are simply looking for the easiest place to buy local whole bean coffee in Cary. Whole Foods carries beans from several local roasters including Counter Culture, Larry's Beans, and Joe Van Gogh.

I am going to jump on this bandwagon. You will find all of the above mentioned brands of coffee as whole foods. What I like is that in addition to the pre-packaged beans they have a few varieties in loose beans. I find this a nice way to try different brands and blends.
I have also heard good things about Crema Coffee and they are on my own list to try.
Thanks guys! I went with muddy dog before I had any replies! I will def go to whole foods asap!
