Starting to think about doing a project. Right now I have a covered concrete slab patio, and then a yard with very little grass, poor drainage, and lots of holes due to the over-population of Siberian Huskey's (we have 3). In short, every time it rains, the yard turns to hummus.

I've been wanting to redo the backyard anyway, this just makes it even more attractive. Looking for someone who is knoweldgable about good drainage, is insured, bonded, and all that stuff, and that can help me turn my muddy yard into something aesthetically pleasing, and functional for entertaining (Grilling, firepit, etc.)

Prefer to have someone DO the project, but might consider working with a designer and doing some or all of it myself. (really prefer a turnkey job though)

Mostly looking for a few CDers who have had good experiences. My budget is flexible, but I'd assume on the lower end. (This is not going to be a $10k project.) Not looking for elaborate fountains and built in outdoor kitchens, just a nice area outside that curtails some of the mud, or at least pushes it further from the house. Functional.

Anyone have any recs?

No responses? I wonder if I need to better define.

I'm looking for landscapers. Not the type to cut my grass and trim my bushes, but the type to design a patio area, deal with proper drainage, and enhance my living experience.

Anyone have any experience upgrading their yards?

Thanks

I would think Garden Supply could help with this but I can't imagine they are cheap.

They'll do a consult for a hundred bucks. I think that's what we paid. They're not super cheap, but they're generally reliable (that seems to be rare) and they're very knowledgeable.

have you found someone?

I do know of someone, but haven't used him -or his dad - to do the kind of work you're needing.

post here - if you're still looking

OK - this fella has a lawn maintenance business - Mr Mow It All LLC

he's honest and very nice & he's been in the business for about 7 yrs. He's prices are about average.

His Dad has the other business - which is: Design & construction of decks, fences, stairs, bridges.

His brochure also indicates that they take care of Drainage & Erosion Control.
