thought I had found a good dentist in southern Wake. however, after speaking to multiple folks, I think the practice is very expensive. looking for suggestions. I have a lot of old dental work that needs replacing, deep fillings that now need crowns, maybe an implant or two. unfortunately, no dental insurance.
Insane American prices I speak Spanish
I needed a bridge a root canal and a post in San diego $6050 in Tijuana $1170
That's a very popular option for Americans, especially the elderly. When I lived in Tucson for 5 years, I saw that first hand with people going an hour south to Nogales for dental treatment. I'm just thankful to have a step-brother and step-uncle who are dentists, and be able to get anything I need (luckily I don't have any major problems) for free. They did tell me though they make their most money off of crowns and root canals.
I have nothing of value to add here, except that I got a nice chuckle out of your post title's phrasing, especially the use of the words "these parts."
I immediately imagined a hardened, grizzly cowboy walking through half-size swinging and creaky bar doors, when immediately everything quiets down for a second, and the cowboy says, in his best western accent, "Now who here can tell me what they reckon I should pay for a fix-it cap on my bad tooth in these here parts?"
When I went to Cancun a couple of years ago I got some work done at Cancun Cosmetic dentistry
I got into the dentist seat at 8.45 am and got out at 6 pm with 2 toilet breaks (Yeah)
I had 5 root canals and posts and crowns done with about 35 injections during the day
Cost was $3k Work was OK but not stellar
