Was wondering if any of you can recommend a campground with seasonal sites available for rent. We would like to stay within 2 hours of the RTP area. Looking for a place that is not too busy but still has fun things like pool and put put golf and bingo.

Falls Lake State Park has Rolling View campground. Look it up. There are also rustic camping/tents, etc.

Is a "seasonal site" a long term (multi-week/month) kind of thing?

I was going to ask the same thing.

a friend of mine did a long term rental in Chapel Hill. I don't remember the name of the place but it was close to 40. I do not know what amenities they have either.

I'm sure Kerr Lake has many such places as does White Lake. Can't recommend any personally.

What you are looking for is White Lake on the way to the beach. Family's camp all summer long and the have the cantean, etc.

White Lake Holiday Resort: A Place for Family - Waterfront Cottages and Vacation Rentals

This is a starting point. Much more beyond this one company.

Seasonal meaning you leave your camper there for the season. Where we are from our campground opened in April and we left our camper there till after Columbus Day. One price for the whole season. I guess you would call it a long term campground where you can set up your camper, put up a semi permenant screen house.
