Hello!
I am looking for someone to do a monthly cleaning at my house. Would prefer to hire an individual, but would consider a service. Any leads??

I would be skeptical of hiring someone from Craigslist to clean my home (unless I were moving out). I'd pay extra for someone who was licensed and bonded.

Another take...

Many a licensed and bonded "nanny" caught acting off color with peoples precious posessions...

In my experience, Craigslist offers you the options to do your own backround search on locals you would consider for hire. ALWAYS get referrals and references and do your own backround check. I've hired numerous employees this way and to date Craigslist remains one of my best resources for new employees.

A side tip: You pay less for their services and they get paid more because there is no middle man. If you do your homework well, ALL IS GOOD

All the best in your search

I'm looking for someone young, reliable and trust-worthy
I'm curious as to why "young" is among your criteria? My house cleaner (who has had the keys to my house for over 20 years) is in her 50s and I would be much more inclined to trust an older person (doesn't have to be 50s) with wisdom and experience under their belt than someone who would be considered "young". (Please note, I am not saying "young" people are not trustworthy! Just that it seems like an odd thing to specifically ask for?

my 2 cents...Maybe more energetic...?

I guess it depends on whether they are paid per hour or per job.

About where do you live in Cary? Anywhere off of Davis Drive? The lady who cleans for me and some of my girlfriends does a good job. She only does it 2 Fridays a month and goes from one house to the other. It is $80. The first time is $100 since she does an extremely thorough job the first time and then upkeeps it from there. She washes all the windows' insides, bathrooms, vacuums, polishes, dusts, etc.

I can tell you that if they are willing to do it in the nude the price is a lot higher! LOL

Our maid, Kaye, comes bi-weekly and charges us $110 per visit to clean our ~4,000 sq. ft. house. If you want only once a month cleaning it'll likely cost a bit more. Hope this helps give you an idea about cost.

Default Cleaning person

Our home is 2985 sq feet and we pay $90 per session for a really thorough house cleaning. It seems like our person was in the norm of range. The "molly maid" and other group type of cleaning services wanted 120-150 range for our home. I am not sure if they would actually be better.
