Hi. We are planning on moving to Holly Springs from NY this summer. I know there are 4 tracks but can someone explain how you know what track your kids are on. Can you request a track? In NY we have a traditional school year so it's a little confusing. Thanks!

Hello. Holly Springs does have schools on both the year round track schedule and the traditional schedule. There is an option to request certain tracks or the traditional schedule but if often depends on if the school is full or not (Holly Springs has some schools that are currently full). You can find out what school your kids will be assigned here - Student Assignment / Overview

Year Round is only offered for elementary and middle school so if you have a kid in high school they will be in a traditional schedule.

And I realized you said you were moving in summer. The Year Round school year starts the second week of July (everyone has off that first week of July) so if you won't be in HS by then you should look at track 4 which doesn't start their year until July 27th (would give you more time to move) 2015-2016 track schedule - http://carpenteres.wcpss.net/files/2...ound-15-16.pdf

The school assigns your track.

True, but you can request one. We received the requested track for our rising kindergartener this past year.
