So I entered our daughter in the lottery on a whim, and she was accepted for Kindergarten this year. We are still fairly new to the area and was just told that it was a good school, but really know nothing about it. We live in Franklin County, so her alternative school would be Long Mill Elementary.
Anyway, anyone have any thoughts on Franklin Academy? Or even more basic info as is it a year round school? Average class size? Or any other useful info??
Thanks!
When looking for our next step after preschool, I was told by our director not to touch this place with a ten foot pole. At the time they used dog clicker training methods along with their direct instruction methods.
I have very active children and was advised against Franklin and Thales because the children barely leave their desks.
At the same time, I have two neighbors now in high school that have attended their since kindy. They like it fine, but feel as though they aren't getting the social experience that public school teens would. But, that is way down the road for ya!
