It suits them very well...ha!! Mean but true. They moved next door to us just as my youngest child was diagnosed with Autism and proceeded to let all 5 of their kids come to my house unannounced constantly and told me,"Well, if they get on your nerves send them home..." UM. NO. So, while I LOVE neighbors and I do like some in my neighborhood, I don't like disrespectful ones. It's all good, though. I'm southern and I know how to "bless their hearts."
Although we didn't get much buildup where I am (southern edge of wake county), the ground seems saturated. I'm wondering if that will be the next concern.
Cell sites have one or more strings of batteries that power the radios and other equipment. Once those drain, the site goes off air. Very few sites have back-up generators.
When Fran came through, many lost home phone service as the remotes in the neighborhood operated the same way. BellSouth tried deploying generators, but I heard some of them were stolen.
