Where is Piedmont Nc? What are the zip codes for it? is it nicer then wake forest? Is it close to Raleigh? Do the basements flood there? Do they have Walmart , Sams Club? TJ MAxx, Marshalls, Ross?

The piedmont is a geographical region which includes many counties (see map above), not a town, city or county.

Interesting that there is a little sliver of Southeast Wake county that is considered the "inner coastal plain".

Yep, Wake County was once ocean-view property. Areas east of the fall line, (border of the Piedmont & Coastal Plain) was ocean covered.

Looking for homes with basement which they said they have in piedmont. We want to live in N raleigh or Wake forest though.

You will find some houses with basements around those areas, and some with walk outs. It will not be plentiful, but they are around .

I think what they meant was that based on the topography of the state, it's more common to find homes with basements in the piedmont region.
