Do you think this access will continue once TWC flips to all digital/encrypted next month?

When my three adapters arrived the other day, I thought "Crap, these things are going to need to be plugged in." What a drag.

After reading this thread, I looks like Sling TV and an an antenna would be a great solution for my house.

Yep; I've checked other discussion groups in other cities that already have DTA-rollout.

Soon as pollen leaves, I move TV to screened porch or maybe buy a projector for the Roku!

I did a free trial of Sling and it's fantastic - I'm not moving forward with it because I still have TWC, but if I do cut the cord I'll definitely get it. I was away and wanted to watch the Mad Men premiere - no AMC where I was staying :-)

The quality on my tablet was great. I also liked that Sling carries CNN.

Nope. In other areas where this is occurring, they basically start removing channels in batches until they're all gone within a few months time. You either get the digital adapter or you don't watch the channels their service provides.

The adapters are able to "communicate" with the "home office" so to speak so it allows TWC to ensure you are only getting what you pay for and nothing more. You better believe that they won't provide more service than they have to, while charging you a ton.

The question related to the TWC app, not cable TV service.

It's also worth making a list of shows you watch and seeing if you come out better with Sling or just buying a season pass of those shows on Amazon Instant or iTunes or some other service.
