We must visit different lower barton's creek areas. Saturdays in the middle of the summer at barton's creek are crazy!
I'm not a weekend warrior .... retired so only hit the lake weekdays. I was actually just kidding, like you said Falls Lake in the summer is the last place for peace and serenity.
I went to a similar ropes course in Asheville and I think it was ~ $90, so the price here is pretty steep, but inline with "competition".
