I'm coming down to Raleigh this weekend to visit, and celebrate a few things with a few girlfriends. We're in our mid-30's and want to go out somewhere that's got good energy/is lively, good music, maybe dancing... but is less college scene (I ended up at Cornerstone Tavern at the recommendation of a friend last time - the crowd was way too young for us) and more grown. Appreciate any suggestions!
Check out Foundation, C Grace, Raleigh Times, Flying Saucer, Fox Liquor Bar and Bittersweet (dessert/cocktail bar!) are the coolest bars/lounges (Foundation and C Grace are my favorites. Foundation is an underground bar off Fayetteville and C Grace is a jazz lounge off Glenwood - neither of those spots are college hangouts haha).
None of those places are really for dancing - if you want to do some of that go check out Mosaic Wine Lounge
