One reason I felt safe with Kool Kidz is that we had been using them for nearly 10 years. They posted our Christmas cards and birth announcements. I hope the employees were paid properly. Miss Annette, especially, was wonderful.

Maybe there is still hope they can cooperate with the Apex one.

You may be able to take this as federal bad debt tax deduction if you itemize. Just keep your records if you do to prove the debt was uncollectible.

Might check with the landlord to see if bankruptcy was filed. That is perfect backup for a bad debt write off.

Good luck.

It's reopened as a Green Kids. The owners have another Green Kids and a Melting Pot at Southpoint.

Different ownership, but they're offering people who bought packages from Kool Kidz in 2015 15 free hours and those who bought packages in 2014 15 bonus hours with the purchase of 80 hours or more.

I found that the owner of Kool Kidz recently sold his house (4/6/2015) and it looks like his wife was one of the workers there. I found her Instagram account and she looks very familiar - Patricia Krishnarajanagar, maiden name of Hooper. I sent her a message on her Facebook account, but I doubt I'll hear anything.

I want my $200 back :-( Who would I contact about a possible bankruptcy?

US Bankruptcy Court but expect nothing to be recovered.
