According to Wake County records, Publix North Carolina LP paid $3.7 million for close to 11 acres of land, or almost $340,000 per acre for an undeveloped site at the corner of Green Level West and Green Level Church roads in west Cary. http://www.bizjournals.com/triangle/...evel-road.html
Hah, we will see how those Amberly people complain about "big box" now!
I don't think this is adjacent to Amberly, but rather by green level baptist church. That low-lying 4 way stop sign over by that greenway where the bikers ride all willynilly on the narrow roadway.
Yeah, this is the lower end of Green Level Church, south of Cary Park. All righteously indignant for nothing. It is close to the existing one. They must be going to start really coming in then.

That area will be developed, for sure.
And HT at 55/Green Level West will ramp up to compete. They sure buried Kroger across the street several years ago.
I think it is a good stroke for Publix. I don't see this location competing in any material way with The Bradford Publix. It just extends the brand.

Absolutely - it is meant to be for people who live in west Cary and don't want to cross 55 or Davis Drive (I don't even want to cross Davis Drive and live pretty darn close!).

You might also get some people from west Apex, who can just go up Kelly Road.
Publix made a smart move purchasing land to build and open a future additional store in a growing area. I would not be surprised to see it owning more store properties inclusive of freestanding stores and retail centers. Publix should be adding more stores around Wake County.
