It's not a confidence thing, it's training to make someone a better player. Sure if you want to have fun on the weekend and kick the ball around with your buddies I am sure training isn't something you need. But if you want to develop a young player it helps their skill development in small groups and one on one training.

Hi,

I was wondering who you called at UNC, NC State, or Railhawks to find out who coaches privately. I have look on their website and did not see a list of available coaches or a number to call.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I'm a volunteer soccer coach, and I can tell you there is a big difference in the instruction one gets during a typical soccer practice with 10-14 kids, and the level of instruction one gets in a private or small group setting.

It all depends on how serious your child is. If it's just about recreation, by all means, don't spend the extra money on private coaching. But, if it is something they are really passionate about, I would definitely recommend private coaching.

If you are looking for a coach, CoachUp is a website that makes their money connecting people with private coaches.
