I would also throw out there that our personal experience is that the Principal will work with you if you have a compelling reason for a track request. We had some real issues, including a 10 yr. family reunion and weird work schedules around holidays due to both being health care folks. I sent a letter explaining this to our school. We got our first choice of tracks.
