Confiscating the wealth of the 1% does nothing toward solving our out-of-control budget troubles. We must decrease spending on everything; we must increase taxes on everyone.
People will rebel against higher taxes because the entire tax system is regarded as unfair. Increasing the taxes on the rich is an attempt to make the tax structure seem fair. Seem. Perception is reality.
