You are the man Stu! Even though the tax assessed value of my home rose by more than $33K as a result of the reevaluation, if this .53 cents per $100 rate holds true my tax bill will actually go down by about $11 ~ just enough for a pizza and a few beers.

We budgeted our house purchase based on the 67 cent tax, so now that the rate is going down to 53 cents, we overestimated by about $500/year. That's a pizza and a few beers every week!

Great to hear, I was getting lots of calls from nervous clients. Some of the revaluations were quite large and home owners were worried about large increases.

Default Don't forget about local taxes...

if you are a municipality. They haven't been too bad in the past, though. The cities and towns usually adjust rates, too. I hope they will do the same htis time. Has anyone gotten any news from their towns?
