There's really no reason to live in Wake Forest or Wendell and subject oneself to that kind of daily commute when New Hill is so close to great communities in Apex and HS that will fit the bill nicely. The difference in schools is not significant enough to justify that much commuting. The benefit of being able to spend less time on the road and more time at home with the kids will outweigh any marginal differences in schools, TBH.

Nobody was going to Wendell. I just mentioned that as the other side of the spectrum from a Cary so far as schools go.
When does the home need to be ready? A new development, Jordan Pointe is approved and getting started off Old US1 that will have some homes on up to 2 ac. That will be just down the road from the power plant (less than 5 mi) and use Apex Friendship HS (new) and other excellent Apex schools. You could check it out if you have a few months available to wait.
