When I realllly want to sell something I list it on Facebook (Marketplace & local Buy/Sell/Trade groups), Craigslist, Offerup and LetGo.
I have noticed that Facebook buyers are the most flakey. I get a zillion 'Is this item still available?' questions to which I reply 'Yes, it is' and then they disappear into Cyberspace. I guess they were just curious? Or they make plans to buy it and then tell me at the last second that we're too far away even though I had that listed in the ad. (?) And many, many times I've been stood-up with no-shows after making plans to pick something up. Too many to count. I've wanted to create a Facebook group for all of those people since they have so much in common! :-)
I haven't had much luck with OfferUp or LetGo.
I've bought from NextDoor but haven't tried selling there yet.
Craigslist still seems to have the most reliable buyers in my experience although it tends to take longer to sell something there.

The issue with Facebook getting so many "Is this item still..." is an interface/software issue. I used to let my feelings get hurt, now I just know it is what it is. Here is a response to the issue:
A lot of the problem comes from the auto-send buttons. Just scrolling through and pausing your finger too long can click on them and send the message. This especially happens when you click to see the comments and it registers your finger there. Just reply with a "Yes, it is" and move on. If they were interested they will reply, if they weren't you're only out 5 seconds.
Necrothread. This thread is 4 years old. I'm sure the OP got rid of his/her items.
Yes, looks like a spam account resurrected it to plug in an ad, ugh... Moderator alerted.
Some good new posts but these threads are hard to follow.
