What's going on folks, it's Friday, I'm at work hungry as heck, and have a hankering for soul food. Can you guys please list some places in the triangle I can get some good ole soul food. This place needs more hole in the wall joints, where neither the inside or the outside looks far from fancy, but the food is absolutely great, places where you go in, and all the workers have age on them, and you can look at their hands and tell they know what they are doing. It doesn't matter where in the triangle, I just need more spots to get my fix.
Barbecue Lodge off Capital Blvd fits your description perfectly. I haven't seen any employees that appear to be under 55 years old and the food is great!
There are several along Fayetteville St. near NC Central's campus in Durham.
