You have to put in a specific address. It will give the list of alternative schools i think.

We were planning to move to Cary and chose Highcroft. The schools are all rated closely, but the overall school scores are higher at highcroft than the other schools. Overcrowding is a high issue though. Highcroft is year round and hasn't currently capped out. I also preferred the demographics at that school. I also really liked that it is truly a community school. You have to drive into a neighborhood to find the school. It is really cute. In talking with the adminstration at the school, I was really impressed. I also like that the PTO was very organized and active. One draw back- the lines for this school are very small and I think there is only ONE appartment complex in its school zone. To me the appt complex was overpriced. I think a small 2br over $1400. Sometimes the new townhomes across the street come up for rent, jump on them if you find one and can afford it. I think they run around $1600/mo.

HTH! GL!

The school is why the rents are high. Expensive housing and perceived better schools go hand in hand .

I tried that...no luck. It just tells you there's a cap and you should register at the school to see if they're admitting or pushing to overflow.
