After a lackluster reception to a similar event earlier this summer, another slip-and-slide event is hoping to claim better reviews this weekend. Slide Festwill take over WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
The event features 1,000 feet of slip-sliding, food trucks and music.
Sliders must be at least 44 inches tall and are required to have inflatable tubes. Early bird registration is available onlinethrough Saturday. Registering early saves you about $10.
Glenwood also was right on the street --- ie "no padding"
If this is on the grass with a better slope, I'd imagine turnout may be better. Although iirc there are not a couple dozen bars at WakeMed Soccer park like there is on Glenwood ;-)

Turnout was not a problem on Glenwood. Complaint was wait time to slide and the slope. They oversold! With no bars maybe this will be more kid friendly.
Location: Sodo Sopa at The Villas above Kenny' s House.
