I love to bring a book with me - would love to hear suggestions for a solo reader out in public. It could be out in the evening with a glass of wine, a coffee shop during the day, whatever!

Would love especially to learn about any places with comfy chairs! I live in Durham, but anything in the Triangle is good.

Borders was my go-to place, but it is long gone.

The outside courtyard at Southpoint Mall. Great people watching, when wanting to rest your eyes. Good drinks and cookies available, as well.

Haha, bluecomet! Looking to buy a house and that a sunporch is on my must-have list.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! Lake Johnson especially sounds perfect for today - I'm loving this weather.
