I am going to be buying a new refrigerator, washer and dryer for my new house. Right now H.H. Gregg has good sales but the delivery costs are outrageous (should it really cost $79 for each appliance when they will be delivered at the same time???). Here in NJ we have P.C. Richard, which is an old-fashioned, family-owned appliance store with great service. Is H.H. Gregg similar? Is there anyplace similar? I'm looking at a Frigidaire Gallery counter-depth fridge and either LG or Samsung for electric washer and dryer.

Both Home Depot and Lowes have sales with free delivery and removal. Watch for the ads.

Lowe's usually has a pretty good selection of appliances in stock, and they'll deliver the next day for free. They will also price match. The service is usually terrible because they're so understaffed.

When you change your address they will also send you a 10% off purchase coupon. Buy all appliances at once and you will save a big chunk of change.

Also totally anecdotal but I bought a fridge about 3 months and Lowe's had the cheapest extended warranty by far. That's another thing to shop around on and factor into final price if you are interested in it.

I forgot about the 10% coupon. I think that can be printed from the USPS website, IIRC.
