The amount of actual physical pain I feel actually thinking about this as a security option is immense, however the convenience of one bill for as much as possible is making me consider it. Anyone have experience? If not them, I'm think CPI because I reached out to ADT and they never got back to me.

You're going to pay a lot more than you need to with TWC, CPA or ADT. And you'll end up wit ha contract. Forget them and call Alarm Man.

Absolutely.

TWC, CPI, ADT, etc. are all overpriced. There is no "piece of mind" by doing with one of these companies. Save your wallet and go with a local company. The average cost is $20/month with some being as low as $15/month.

If you pay more than $25/month for monitoring you are getting ripped off. Period.

I have TWC Intelligent home - bundled into my TWC internet/TV/Phone service. It's not bad, but it is a bit pricier than other alternatives. I like the management console they provide and I like the mobile app and the ability to turn on/turn off the system remotely. I also like being able to view the cameras live. The one thing I haven't liked is that they install their own wireless smoke detectors (even though my house was only 5 years old and had a wired detector system throughout. If there's any communication glitches between these wireless detectors and the console, the system alerts the monitoring center, and you get calls from them - which can get annoying if the situation isn't remedied by a technician.

My thoughts about ALL of these systems are:
1. Cyber-breach waiting to happen. More likely to allow a criminal in than keep him out.
2. Get a super-kind dog with a friendly disposition, but a mean sounding bark.
3. Use some common sense, don't make yourself the easy target, and they will rob someone else.
-don't leave garage door open
-don't leave attractive stuff in sight
-don't put your brand new 70" TV box at the curb for people to know you just got it.
-etc.

Really, if you look into the potential security concerns of these systems, they are a real problem, and any half-rate hacker could get around it.

(Knocking on wood that I don't get robbed today, as I type...)
