Yup! Raleigh has a run-off in City Council District A (generally North Raleigh between Creedmoor and Capital) and other cities/towns have council positions and mayorships up. Never neglect voting!
Evidently one of our recent council elections in Morrisville was decided by something lose to single digit votes. Or so I was told by a current council member.

In 2011 Mike Schlink defeated Linda Lyons by 3 votes, with almost 1,400 votes cast for the Morrisville Town Council District 1 seat.
And at least two of those votes were Lynda herself.
I do remember that election being close, just didn't remember it being THAT close.
