I would like a fireplace to be retrofitted to accommodate a television mount. Power and low voltage video will need to be run.

This will likely require some masonry and dry wall patching.

I would have searched but that function is down for maintenance.

Thanks!

I do not know if these people do residential but it is a great place to start:

Frank Yarborough of AVCON - Audio Visual Systems | Raleigh | Cary | RTP

or Steve Mangum or Dan of MCR Integrated Technologies - Serving the international computer & audiovisual rental community for over 20 years!

Tell them Craig Watts sent you.

That's a pretty decent project you're talking about and I'm not sure most A/V guys would be able to do it all. You need an electrician, a mason, and a drywall and paint guy.

Maybe Audio Advice as they're one of the larger companies. I know they do lots of work around the area in large homes so they might have connections with GCs.

Thanks for both replies... ultimately led to me identifying two guys from whom I am currently awaiting a response. I'll update if I go with either to get the job done.

Mark Masters with Neuwave did a great job for us. Would use them again.

I appreciate the reply. I called them about doing some work and it was rough A) getting through to a human being and B) actually getting a call back. I waited 48 hours for a call back and decided I'd rather not do business with a company that takes that long to GET my business in the first place. I did recognize that they've received rave reviews and decided that they would be my last resort given the aforementioned circumstances.

Not making excuses for them, but don't forget it's the holiday season when people are typically away from work on vacation so it may take longer than normal to get a response.

Most places don't do the wiring AND the paint/drywall work. I agree there. I don't think Audio Advice will take a job unless they are selling AV equipment in the deal.
