I have a leather Tori Burch bag that has been the unfortunate recipient of a pet accident. I've taken it to my dry cleaners who advertises that they clean leather but wouldn't clean the bag.
Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can take my bag to be cleaned?
Leather being extremely porous, it may be very difficult to get the substance out. Go to a shoe repair or horse equipment shop and ask for a good leather cleaner, follow directions, and probably repeat several light cleanings to see if you can remove the offending material. Depending on how the leather was dyed, you might also end up taking out some color unlesss the dye had a good mordant. Unfortunately, your bag may already be ruined, but it is worth a try. The dry cleaners probably don't want you getting upset with them if their attempts fail.
